Happy Earth day!! In honor of this B E Autiful planet, I thought I’d talk my favorite part of the trip. Ennis, you are perfect. A quaint little town about 50 miles south of Dallas, with rolling green hills, horses and flower fields for miles.
We were lucky enough to stay on a 2,000 acre ranch that my dad’s friend lives on and manages. This property has 8 Belgian horses (20 times the size of me), 2 donkeys (the kind Jesus rode… whaaat), a 12 foot Texas flag and Bluebonnet fields as far as the eyes can see. It was an absolute dream.
Spending the weekend here and waking up to such beauty really made me think. It made me grateful for this beautiful life and really take a step back from my everyday life here in Tampa. I think traveling is so important for this very reason. To see the world, to see what goes on in other places, and to remind yourself of what’s really important in life.
One night before the sun set, my dad and I took the Mule and drove around the property. My dad is one of the most talented photographers I know. Being able to spend time with him shooting in the prettiest location was something I’ll never forget. If you want to check more of his work out, check out his website allaccesstampa.com for all things music or his new page coming soon, markweaverphoto.
